Hope the new year 2022 will bring happiness and health.
Through 2021, the whole world’s focus was on COVID, and that was not the case for us. 2021 was one of the most difficult year for the citizens of #Myanmar.
In early 2021, the military coup happened and the new-normal life has turned into unusually difficult for everyone in the country. People from all walks of live came out to streets to protest the military coup.
We have been under the military rules for many decades since 1962. The country suffered economically greatly since then. Between 2015-2020, we saw some lights of hope, and now it has gone. Back to the future?
We are terribly sad, angry, hopeless and helpless.
A very bad situation came to even worse when COVID third wave hit the country in mid-2021. We watched the situations in the country helplessly from abroad. We just help with small contributions like buying oxygen-concentrators, sending some medicines to home, but without a proper medical-assistance, many of our families, friends and loved ones left us very suddenly. Pain are unlimited for us.
We are far away from family, have not met our loved one for 2 years. For some, we cannot meet their loved ones anymore.
This is 2022. The whole world is moving forward and we cannot go backward. We have to end this coup once and for all for the future of new generations.
We learned important lessons that the UN will just issue “concern statements”, ASEAN just use “useless 5-points consensus”, and the rest of the world may not even know #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar.
At the end of the day, we only have ourselves. So, we have to continue to do with our best efforts to fight and win this revolution.
YES, we will win in 2022.
