I visited Thailand last year September with my parents on the way back from Japan. We planned to visit Ayutthaya City as my mom is very interested in history. I also wanted to see how Ayutthaya City is because we had heard about that city since we are young.
By the way, we are proud to be Burmese but we disagree on destroying the city and killing people when Ayutthaya was conquered by Burmese in 1767.
We rented a car to visit Ayutthaya City from Bangkok. The car owner is a Burmese living and working there. So it’s very convenient for us to ask him the places to visit in Ayutthaya. He drove us to visit Wat Phu Khao Thong (means Golden Mountain) pagoda first. It was built by King BaYintNaung of TaungGoo (Myanmar) in 1569 to celebrate the victory.
I climbed up to the pagoda to take some scenery photos. When I reached up there, I saw my dad was taking photos of my mom while she was taking notes at the foot of the pagoda. It was a sweet moment and I took their photo.
We had spent good time together in Thailand. I am longing to back Yangon to meet them soon.
Thank You.

The White
This white orchid photo was taken in Orchid Garden, which is located in Botanic Garden, Singapore. I went there in late 2008.
I still remember that I went there with a girl who always loves to be a model in front of camera. You may have a question, is there anyone who wants to be model behind the camera? No… I mean she will immediately change her position and poses nicely if she was pointed by a camera.
On that day she called me up to go out to take some photos because she has to update her Facebook photos or something like that. These days, there are a lot of Burmese model wannabe and photographer wannabe in Facebook. It’s nothing wrong. Technology changed the way we work, play and learn. Interesting!
Where I am… Oh, in short, we tried to get some good photos in the garden but it was an unfortunate day for her. I didn’t get really wow photos. I felt sorry for her but I am happy as I got some nice flowers photos :-P
I am browsing my old photos and found this one. I am inspired by Albert who took very nice macro photos. As I am busy to go out for photo shooting these days, I posted the photo here. Hope you guys are not bored with it.

The world is beautiful
The world is always beautiful. We shape the world in our own way.
Sometime we didn't open our eyes enough to see it fully. Sometimes we close our eyes and ignore it.
If we open ourselves, the world is beautiful as it is.

Do what you love
‘Do what you love.’
It’s easier to talk than do. The sentence and the meaning seems to be simple but it’s complicated, you know.
Because it is different between what you really love to do and how you really want to do what you love. Let me tell my opinion. I really love to read any kind of writing since I was young. I can remember every single word if I really like the writing. When I was in middle school, I read a play (Yay Thel Pya Zat) from my elder sister’s high school textbook, I like it very much. When I had to learn that play as my lesson in my high school, I started to hate it. Because I cannot enjoy reading it, I need to memorize and rewrite as what teacher told me to. I wished to read to enjoy and analyze myself rather than I am asked to.
I realized that same feeling apply to my photography too. I love photography but I do not enjoy taking photos at events or model shooting much. That’s why most of my friends complained that their photos, taken by me, are not great. I agree with them because I don’t enjoy taking photos with restriction. I need to open my mind more.
Even so, I have done photo shooting for 3 wedding receptions and 3 birthday events with my humble D60. This photo was taken during one of room-mate-cum-brother-cum-friend’s ROM (Registry of Marriage) ceremony.
I do love photography but I don’t like to take photos for events because I feel that it restricts me a lot. ‘Do what you love’ is not simple as you see, right?

Fly High
Limitation is only the sky
Best you can do is to try
So start your journey to fly
Remember not to cry
But to eye greats for all thy aye.

Tōdai-ji Temple
“ Tōdai-ji (Eastern Great Temple), is a Buddhist temple complex located in the city of Nara, Japan. Its Great Buddha Hall (aibutsuden), the largest wooden building in the world, houses the world's largest statue of the Buddha Vairocana, known in Japanese simply as Daibutsu .” (ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T%c5%8ddai-ji)
I went Tōdai-ji temple with my parents alone as my sister didn’t come with us. The main reason she didn’t’ come with us is to save the cost. You know what; the transportation cost in Japan is very high especially if you are taking Shinkansen (bullet train). We bought one week unlimited ride tickets, called JR Rail Pass, from Singapore, which cost about S$420 at that time. So we can take unlimited ride to any JR trains, Buses or even Ferry with that pass. Oh yeah, we exchanged the pass with the ticket in Tokyo just before taking first Shinkansen.
Ok, back to them temple. There are many deer roaming freely around the temple. They are not afraid of people but my mom was afraid of them.
We can buy a stack of cookies to feed deer. You have to be careful when you feed them because deer can be very aggressive. I didn’t have to go near to them to feed. They surrounded me once they saw me buying cookies. They even pulled my backpack from behind while I was waiting for my change. It was a bit scary even for me. While I was feeding one of them, another one will be trying to get cookies. I had to quickly feed and run away :D . They are very smart, they didn’t follow me because they know that I don’t have any more cookies for them.
I was wondering why deer are there but not other animals. I know after reading Wikipedia that deer are regarded as messengers of the gods in the Shinto religion, that’s why they are allowed to roam the grounds freely. I don’t have good photos of deer as I was busy feeding and running away from them. :D
Ciao!

Come on, my mood
It takes time to archive old photos because I looked at photos when I archive. Photos can bring back old memories.
I accompanied my room-mate on his pre-wedding photography day last year. The photographer was kind enough to allow me to use my camera. Normally they will not allow you to have DSLR while they are taking photos because that will affect their business. The couple can choose limited number of photos depends on the package that they bought only. If they want more photos than the package offers, they have to pay hefty price.
I requested the photographer that I would just take photos of the photography event, not the couple’s alone. He agreed and I helped him in return.
This photo was taken in the backstreet of the bridal shop. The photographer wanted the bridegroom have nice smile but the groom can get the mood. So the photographer asked him to take time get the right mood. At that time the bride is staring at him that way and I clicked.
When I showed this photo to them, I joked. ‘The groom got pressure to get married while the bride is starring and saying that no use to be sorry and scared by now. You can’t change your mind anyway.’
It was exactly one year ago. As the room-mate is not living with us anymore, sometimes I miss him because he is not only friend for me, he is like a brother to me as well.
Happy Marriage, Thar Latt.
